Craigslist is a dangerous place

I am trying to sell some items on craigslist and could not believe how shady this world is. Ok, so I put them up on bid and before you know it, you get bombarded by SPAM. Some are really obvious. Like go to this site: xwive.adsi.com and get your money!! It’s like.. uh… I said paypal only dummy!! I’m not gonna fall for this.. but I think somebody could!!

Then some guy with a fake name and fake email sends me this fake paypal payment. I’m no idiot so I know to check my account before I send him my item and sure enough, it was fake. I can tell it’s fake, you idiot!! All the photoshop job and fake email address. I couldn’t believe this guy tried to rip me off. But I bet an average person would fall for this. and I bet he’s scamming a million people every day. I reported him to paypal and then he immediately emailed me that “he wasn’t interested anymore”… After thinking about it, I should have sent him a virus or something but I don’t want him coming after me.

I have also tried ebay, which is ok but nobody trusts me because I only have like 9 stars. How am I supposed to have like 5000 stars like all these superstar sellers. It’s not fair.

I have also tried stubhub and some other sites and those sites are great because it’s a safe and guaranteed but they take such a large commission.

Eventually, I did sell it on craigslist but I would advise anyone trying to sell something on craigslist to be careful. You get what you pay for.

It's my birthday today. I am 29 today. crazyness. my last year of 20's. I will do a quick recap of 28.

The biggest Highlight of the year - I got on the PRICE IS RIGHT!!!

This is my friend Will & Maria. They got married this year. I know they look like robots. This was a big highlight to me because this wedding will probably be the only time where I am the Best Man at a wedding. I knew I couldn't disappoint. I think I wrote the Best Best Man speech EVER. I know it sounds conceited but ask someone that went. I also promised that I would dance the whole night and I never left the dance floor. I was there from the beginning till the end of the last song. I guess that's all it takes to be a Best Man. I did other stuff like multiple slideshows and random errands.

Ekko Church - This journey has been amazing. It's been a little less than one year since ekko has started but I feel like there is so much fruit, especially in me. I am doing and learning things that I never knew before. I am living a new Christian life the way it was meant to be lived. full and abundant. carpe diem. Take life by the horns. I am speaking on a sunday next week (10/18). who would have thought?? that loser, uncool in Jr. high TJ could be speaking passionately about my life to 30 people on a sunday afternoon. God does use the weak.

I bought a house. I am proud of this house because my parents are not well off and they did not help me purchase this house and I am not married so I had to do it alone. I am not blessed w/ an inheritance but God has blessed me with skills, a great job, and an ability to save like no other. I am not afraid of committment to a 30 year mortgage and I pretty much know what I'm doing with my life so I'm not scared to buy a house.

last but not least. when you expect it the least, something great always happens. something great did happen this year and I couldn't have asked for anything greater. i feel blessed, lucky, satisfied, honored, humbled by this woman. I will make her proud.

happy birthday to me. can't wait till 30

Rappers have the worst name. Think about it. Rappers are supposed to be intimidating and instill fear in your hearts but if I was an objective person, I would laugh at these names.

ICE-T?? c'mon.. it's just a drink.. why not lemonade?? or Diet COKE.. Ice-T is what I drink when the weather is hot and i need some caffeine.

ICE-Cube. to me, this is worse than Ice-T. At least Ice-T just writes "T" it must stand for something and he's trying to say he's a cold blooded killer so hence the name Ice-T but Ice cube is straight up just Ice Cube.

Snoop Dogg. Ok. Do you know the origin of his name? It actually comes from the Peanuts character Snoopy. How can anyone be intimidated by this name? In fact, Charles Schultz should sue him for stealing his character!!

Eminem. When I first heard this, i was thinking "did they really say M&M?" Why name yourself after a chocolate? I know his name is Marshall Mathers but couldn't he have thought of something else?

50 cent. Ok. I know you're supposed to say "Fithy Cent" but 50 cents? Why not one dollar? it's a little bit more clever than the previous ones but it just doesn't do it for me.

Vanilla Ice. What is up with the obsession with ICE??? i get it.. you're white so you're vanilla.. but why copy already lame names like ICE-T and ICE-Cube and do Vanille ICE???? but vanilla ice sounds better than the previous ones.

props to good names such as: 2pac, EasyE, Run DMC, Jay-z, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Queen Latifah, Jazzy Jeff. And to all the rappers I made fun of, please don't kill me

I remember why I hate going to Dodger games.
My last Dodger game was about 2 years ago. I left my house at 6:30 for a 7:30 game, and after parking for $15 and walking 30 minutes from my car to my seat, I got there in the 4th inning and Jake Peavey pitched a two hour game and they lost 8-0 and I was gone by the 8th inning. After that, I vowed that I would never go to another game ever again.
For some reason, I forgot that vow and I went to a Dodgers-Giants game. It was so incredibly boring and I found myself rooting for the Giants (which means I have REALLY broken up w/ the dodgers). The game was 4 hours long and I was about to shoot myself because it’s hard sitting for four hours for anything.

The video in between in innings. I think they showed the same highlight (Andre Either’s Gaming winning homerun) about 10 times with 10 different effects and songs. I kept saying to my friends, it’s the same highlight!! LAME!!
People care more about hitting the beach ball than watching baseball
Our roll was empty until the 4th inning. 5-8th, it was sold out, empty again in the 9th.
I wikipediaed about Halley Berry, the father of her child, Larry King & his wife and I twittered about how I spilled cheese on my shirt.
There were about 12 pitching changes. Drives me crazy!!!
I left my house at 5:30 on a Friday, got in my chair in the first inning but didn’t get home till 12:30 AM after a 4 hour game.
They showed the Kirk Gibson High-light again. How long are you gonna live off of this? this was 21 years ago..
Bengie Molina took a good 15 minutes changing his shin guards..

Baseball needs to do something. I am a big fan but baseball is just not that fun anymore. Watching the game is just mediocre. People don’t care about baseball. They need to make it quicker for this ADD generation. The in-between entertainment is just not that good. They need to invest in better videos. They should show clips from ABDC or youtube. Something. It just goes too slow.

Anyways.. I’m just ranting cuz I had such a horrible time at Dodger Stadium!! i vow never to go again!!

I just did my Meyer Brigg’s personality test for the 3rd time in my life. I always get the same answer.

ISTJ

It’s easy for me to remember because it says “is TJ” and my name is TJ so “TJ IS TJ”

Anyways, let me read the description. It sounds sooo like me it’s scary.

ISTJs thrive on organization – YES~! I hate chaos and disorder. I think this is why I’m so effective at work and church. There’s hierarchy, tasks, and roles. It fits me so well. My soul doesn’t struggle working in a cubicle like it does with so many people. I actually enjoy it.

will not rest until a job is well completed – I remember in college staying up 20 straight hours to finish the church website and I enjoyed every minute of it.

ISTJs are faithful, logical, organized, sensible, and earnest traditionalists.- faithful. Check. Logical. Double check. Organized. Triple check. I don’t know about earnest traditionalist but I’m not a revolutionary either.

ISTJs prefer dealing with the present and the factual – I’ve been forcing myself to think about the future these days and my calling in life and vision in God but it’s hard for me to do that. I just like dealing with it “Day by Day” (which is a great Dctalk song BTW). Side note: I’m glad Dctalk retired at its peak but that’s left for another xanga entry.

ISTJs respect facts.- you know what I HAAATTTEEE reading fiction novels!! Why? it’s all fake!! I read one page of Lord of the Rings and I was like “Why am I reading this? This is all fake!”

if they are shown the importance or relevance of the idea by someone whom they respect or care about, the idea becomes a fact that the ISTJ will internalize and vigorously support. – This is what I feel about the local church and it was only revealed to me by faith and others in my life.

ISTJs are capable, logical, reasonable, and effective individuals with a deeply driven desire to promote security and peaceful living – yes. I love peaceful living!! I am such a pacifist.

To me, these personality tests help me better understand myself and others. Then, I’m not too hard on myself or others when situations need me to be irrational.

I’ve also done strength finders, but I’ll leave that for another day.

Overexposure?

Some people are very private with their blogs, facebook, and website and some people are very open with their blogs, facebook, twitter, websites, etc.

I am probably on the more open side. My life is on the internet.

Is this good or bad? Will I find people stalking me? (probably not) or am I divulging too much information where people are getting to know me without my permission.

Another random thought today.

Why am I in this body?

I used to wonder that all the time when I was a kid. Why am I in this body? Why am I cognizant of things going on around me? Why didn’t I grow up in China or Russia or in a lion or giraffe?

Life is mysterious.

When you’re around 25 years old, you end up going to a lot of weddings. I just went to 5 weddings in 6 weeks with a bachelor party in between. My whole summer was booked. In 2006, I think I went to a span of 15 weddings in 12 months, including 4 weddings in a row during the summer after missing some due to a 2 week trip. I am very involved for a male with weddings because I have a particular set of skills that come in very handy during weddings. Here is what I learned.

1.   Outdoor weddings look great but people will always complain about the heat.
2.   If you have a lot of holy friends, a Friday wedding works great because they will stay longer on Friday night because no church on Saturday.
3.   It’s harder being a bridesmaid than a groomsman. More responsibilities, more drama, more expensive.
4.   A fancy, expensive wedding is great but they always say “why did we spend so much money” afterwards but they don’t really regret it.
5.   Try not to buy a house and plan a wedding at the same time.
6.   Guys can be groomzilla also.
7.   No matter how stress free you are, you will be stressed.
8.   Failing to prepare, is preparing to fail. Always write your toast before. Don’t drink. If you drink, you will say something stupid. GUARANTEE.
9.   If you have a dance floor and want people to dance, you have to do OPEN BAR.
10.   Nobody really REALLY dances at a morning wedding.
11.   No need to spend so much money on invitations. People throw it away.
12.   Choose your bridal party wisely. None of this “they picked me, so I should pick them” it will bite you in the butt later.
13.   I have seen people hook up at weddings and get married later. No joke. It can actually work.
14.   The worse job is an usher at an outdoor wedding telling people to sit in the sun.
15.   It’s best when you know them but don’t really know them. Then you can just go and enjoy and not have to do any of the extracurricular activities.

So I bought a house this week. It’s kinda scary. All the money I saved, I put it in one basket. It’s an investment. Then it got me thinking. Why?

Why do I need to buy property?
Why am I putting 40 hours of my life every week sitting behind this desk?
Why do I drive 1.5 hours everyday to get to work?
Why save for retirement?

Aren’t I supposed to be living a rock-star life style for Jesus? A History Maker? A radical? Live by faith? Live this grand adventure and travel all around the world? Pray until world peace is achieved.

Probably not.

Jesus was the greatest investor. He invested in only 12 people. He cut losses (bad fruit). He reaped incredible benefits (bread/fish).

I think it’s good that I have a job (which is not my life BTW, it’s just a job). It’s a tool that God has given me to give me money to live and give back to his church. It’s also a good place to meet people. It’s not my life. It doesn’t define me.

But eventually, I would like to start my own business. Something wedding photography/media related.

What’s in a name?

A lot of people ask me what “TJ” stands for and I tell them it’s my Korean name, Taejin. I’m not ashamed of my Korean name. it’s just a lot easier for Americanized people to say TJ rather than Taejin so around 7^th grade-ish I made the switch to TJ.

But at school, people continued to call me Taejin because I knew people from elementary school who carried over to Junior high and I didn’t want to confuse them so I continued to go by Taejin but then soon I was introducing myself as TJ and it got really confusing for everyone around 10^th grade. People at church thought I was “TJ” and people at school thought I was “Taejin.” Plus everyone butchers Taejin so there were many derivatives of my name out there.

I realized I wasn’t the only one w/ two identities at church and school.

There was David at church or Byun at school

There was Suk Woo at church or Sam at school

There was Judy at church or Chi Won at school

At least mine weren’t as drastic as those. Easier to explain.

My parents were thinking about changing my name to Victor when I was in 4^th grade cuz we lived in Victorville. Victor Moon. Sounds weird. I always liked Max. Max Moon

Another question is why does my sister have the name Jessica and I have the name TJ? Well, my parents were set on Michael but when I went to class, there were 5 other kids named Michael so the teacher told my parents to pick a different name and they couldn’t think of any so we just stuck with Taejin.

Anyways. I really like my name. TJ Moon. Sounds cool and nobody will confuse me for anyone else. It’s not like John lee or Peter Kim. I like my name

BTW. My name in Korean stands for “big cycle” or “large circle” and I have no middle name

ok. so last night, instead of watching the Laker Game (trying to cut down on my stress level, i'm saving it for the finals), I watched high school musical 3. The first 30 mins of it was sooooo incredibly cheesy and lame, i wanted to scream and yell at the TV. How can people like this? this is so lame. is this what kids watch these days? It's like if Zack Morris and Co. sang their way through Bayside High. Basically. Troy is Zack and Gabriella is Kelly and screech is rocketman and so forth and so on.

Anyways, while i kept watching it, i have a new found respect for Zack Efron. I thought he was just another pretty face but he can sing and dance too. I was impressed. I was more into it at the end than in the beginning. That's all i wanted to say.
